Today marks a special day in our little corner of the world...our 2nd wedding anniversary! Crazy how fast these past two years have gone by in the blink of an eye.

Two years later, I can still close my eyes and picture that day like it was yesterday. I may nag about household chores one too many times a week, and he may drive me crazy a little more than I would like, but at the end of the day none of that really matters.  He still holds my hand in public and opens the door for me. He believes in me and encourages me in every venture I begin.  He kisses my forehead every morning and kisses me goodnight every night.  He is my best friend and I truly can’t wait to spend the next 50+ years together.  I thought it was next-to-impossible to find your soul mate when you are 16, but over 5 years later he still makes my heart flutter every time he looks at me.

T,
These past two years have been the most challenging, exciting, rewarding, and happy times I can think of and I love you more and more as the days go by. I thought I loved you then, but I'm even more crazy about you now. I know sometimes I can be a bit much to handle, so thanks for always being there to hug, support, and love on me when I need you most. You are an amazing husband, and most of all, best friend in the whole world and my life wouldn't be complete without you to walk by my side. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't thank God for you and all the joy you bring to my life. Although every moment hasn't been perfect, each day together has been such a blessing in my life. Marriage has its share of ups and downs, and we took those vows to love each other through the good AND the bad, yet I know at the end of the day it will always be me and you and that is all I could ever need. No one can make me laugh, comfort me in tough times, make me feel absolutely beautiful everyday, and keep me feeling protected like you can.

I love you so much! Thanks for making me the happiest girl in the world. <3<3<3

HAPPY TWO YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TO MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND!  I LOVE YOU AND I CAN’T WAIT TO SPEND THE NEXT YEAR, AND EVERY YEAR TO COME, RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE.

It's official...

We are going to Colorado at the end of December. I just purchased our plane tickets tonight :D

I am so excited. T has never been before and it's been years since I last went. I want to say at least 6 years?

I can't wait to see my family and for T to really get to meet them! We are looking forward to our 8 day vacation! :)

Slacker Mrs. Slackerson

I'm slacking with this blogging thing. I have no time between taking 17 hours this semester and working 23 hours every week at work. Oops. :)

New found love

Before Tyler EAS'd I absolutely hated cooking. It sucks cooking for one. I normally would just eat peanut butter sandwiches or something quick that I would bring home from work. Ever since Tyler has been home I've developed a love for cooking. I now look forward to the evenings I have off from work because I get to cook dinner for us. Lately the Crock-Pot has become my new best friend, especially with school starting back up. Pinterest too! One of Tyler's new favorite recipes that I made was found off Pinterest! :)

With that being said, I am going to start posting recipes that I make for dinner (the ones we like anyway) so I can look back at all the new things I've tried over the next year! :)

Our Wedding Day

I received our wedding pictures in the mail a couple days ago. It was nearly impossible to choose my favorites out of 1000+ pictures but I did my best :)

It was truly the perfect day. After a week of heavy rain, and the weather calling for thunderstorms, the sun came out like a miracle! The weather was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a more amazing day to be surrounded by our family and friends as we renewed our vows. Thank you to Ariel Houchens for the incredible pictures.

This was by far the best day of our lives and we hope you enjoy a glimpse into it.

PS - Make sure you change the video quality and watch it on 1080 HD so pictures are not blurry :)

Every new beginning...

…comes from some other beginning’s end.
I never thought I'd be one to blog but this felt like a good time to start. I have an overwhelming urge to write things down and preserve all these moments that are becoming memories.

Tyler recently EAS'd from the Marine Corps in May. After four long years, he is finally home for good. Even though our two year wedding anniversary is coming up in November we never got to spend our first year together as newlyweds. So I think this is a fun little record of mine and Tyler's "first year" (or more, we'll see) together.

Hopefully I can keep up with this ;)
